Project for NAVAIR Warfare Center AD (PAX) to develop a replacement for the PDMS system that would allow the use of standard National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) products as a background while displaying the Pioneer Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) location, track, sensor point of interest and Field Of View (FOV). The PDMS provides a capability for capturing log files, that allows any users during or after the mission to replay any part or the entire mission. The PDMS network centric architecture allows for the display and/or control of the vehicles from multiple computers in different locations. PDMS was developed to use Microsoft’s .NET framework allowing the application to be written in 1/3 the number of instructional lines of source code as was the old PDMS.
This project demonstrated JTE capabilities in the Systems Engineering and Software Engineering functional areas.
